I have been doing junior handling for about 2 years and love working with my two beagles. My mum has supported me all the way which really helps, I started off going to ring class training in Morton Say which is a really nice club. I then started to go to open shows and once I was comfortable with that I started going to championship shows. This year I qualified to compete at CRUFTS 2010 and came 3rd with Bumble which was just an amazing moment in my life!!!

Best of Breeds
in one week
During May half term I have been able to enter 3 shows in one week
I came 2nd in the YKC 12-16 handling class at Colwyn Bay which is my 5th runner-up place, hopefully soon I will get a 1st so I will be able to show at Crufts next year.
On Wednesday, 2nd June I showed Bumble at Stafford Show and get 1st place in the Open class and then Best of Breed. In the group final I wasn't placed but I did make the final 6. In the open stakes class I won £4.00 for being placed 3rd out of 22.I really enjoyed the day, the weather was nice and I had chance to walk around the agricultural show. I bought a new handbag with my winnings. Thank you to Mr. T. Fieldkirk, Mrs. Mottershaw and Mr. B. Johansson for liking my Bumble so much.
On Sunday 6th June I showed Bumble at Crewe. After looking at the names of the other beagles in the catalogue I didn't expect to win anything as there were some great dogs entered. I was a little nervous when I entered the ring but I concentrated on Bumble and tried to show her off well to the judge Mr. Goodby who had very kindly stood in for Mr.Hall . Bumble was a star and behaved for once really well. I was so pleased to get 1st place and then to get the Best of Breed and 4th in group was just amazing. Thank you Mr. Goodby you really made my week.
I had wanted my Mum to take me to the companion dog show at Llandrinio which we were going to go to after Crewe but time ran out and we couldn't get there in time. Sorry Zara & Will
